ABOUT ME

My name is Essen Similien. I was born and raised in Cambridge , Massachusetts. What started as a hobby in my moms apartment slowly developed itself into a passion that I will carry with me forever. I always liked to draw and create art since I was a kid and I had no idea that cutting hair was creating art just in a different way. Through a long period of receiving bad haircuts and miscommunication, I took it upon myself to start cutting my own hair. Although, having to wear hats weeks at a time to go to school, I soon began to get the hang of cutting my own hair and others. I am not the barber that cuts hair in order to get you in and out. I am the barber that wants to create a comfortable experience for those who sit in my chair, build a relationship with the people I come to contact with, while showcasing my love for art at the same time!
